I've been using this Perfect Mint Julep Recipe for years, I believe this is one of the greatest cocktails ever invented.
As a bartender this is the my favorite cocktail to mix, you use all the bartending elements, from muddling to stirring to shaking to straining. In a few minutes you will know how to use all these elements to make the best mint julep.
The mint julep's basic ingredient is Bourbon whiskey, any bourbon or Tennessee whiskey will do, to the bourbon we add bitters, mint, lime juice, sugar and club soda.

If you have powdered sugar you can sprinkle it on top of the mint leaves you put as garnish. It's looks great!
