Stop! The search for the Best Margarita Recipe Is Over!

"Just show me one person that doesn't just love a margarita..."

A Perfect Margarita Recipe is hard to find, but that's ok you've found it now! In a few minutes you can be drinking this great cocktail.

The margarita is the national cocktail of Mexico, it's one of the most refreshing cocktails out there, and very simple to make.

I've mixed hundreds of margaritas until I've found the best margarita recipe.

The Classic margarita's basic ingredient is Tequila, you can use blanco tequila (silver) or golden (I prefer golden...) will do, to the tequila we add lime or lemon juice (only if you have no limes!), and some simple syrup (melted sugar) sugar.

The world divides into two groups of people, the ones who drink their margarita with salt on the rim of the glass and the ones who don't.

If you're looking for something a bit sweeter and fruity check out another great margarita, the frozen strawberry margarita, it's a sure winner and very simple to make.

Ingredients for The Perfect Margarita:

2 Oz Tequila

1 Oz Orange liqueur (always prefer cointreau, but a simple triple sec is good enough)
Juice of 1 lime or lemon (we always prefer limes!)
0.5 Oz of simple syrup or Lime Cordial

8 Ice cubes or crushed ice

Step by Step Instructions

Bar tools used: Shaker, Strainer

Glass: Margarita, Martini ,Old fashioned, Rock

Step 1: Pour all ingredients into the shaker.

Step 2: Add 8 ice cubes

Step 3: Add the fresh lime juice or just squeeze a whole lime inside

Step 4: Shake it hard! 12 times at least

Step 5: Strain the cocktail into your chilled glass or strain over ice (margarita on the rocks)

Step 6: Place a lime peel on the rim of the glass or put salt on the rim of the glass. If you want to "salt your rim" check out our cocktail guru tip at the bottom of this page.

Step 7: Drink or serve it, your Perfect Margarita is ready to drink!

You can also use:
Premium tequila's like Patron or Don Julio, they cost more but you will be sure to taste their quality.

Cocktail-Guru Tip

If you use the same ingredients and steps but instead of tequila you put vodka, you will get a totally different cocktail called a Kamikaze.
