Ali Baba's Alibi

Ingredients:

Juice from one lime (Medium size...about one inch in diameter)

1.5 Oz Tequila

1.5 Oz Triple Sec or even better Cointreau

Dash of Grenadine

Tonic water

Method:

Glass: Martini / Cocktail

* Chill glass

*Place 4 ice cubes in glass

* Pour the tequila and triple sec

* Fill glass with tonic

* Stir

* Add a dash of grenadine

* Garnish: Lime wedge

We run a small restaurant on Zanzibar in the Republic of Tanzania. We have an NGO and we teach skills in Tourism to the youth in our community of Jambiani. The proceeds from the Restaurant help us to do what we do.

My real name is Alastair but the locals have trouble pronouncing "R's" so they call me Ali Baba instead. The Ali Baba's Alibi is our signature cocktail and people love it here as it is very refreshing but can be quite potent if you have a few. Hence the term Alibi. If you have too many you have a good alibi not to go to work the next day. :-)
